Cheese & Farm Walk: 1pm

The Cheese & Farm Walk includes a welcome introductory talk about the history of traditional cheese making in South Lanarkshire and the illustrious origins of Errington Cheese. We will then tour around the various cheese making buildings. From the observation windows your guide will highlight the different stages of the cheese making process along with samples. 

We will then continue through the farm and into the barns. Here there is ample opportunity to interact with our friendly herds of sheep, goats, and pigs. Things are ever changing on the farm and no two tours are the same with seasonality and new arrivals to meet. We will then enter the milking parlor to look at the mechanisms by how the animals are milked rounding our tour at the Cheese shop.

The tour takes place on a working farm and we therefore recommend that you dress appropriately for the weather. 

Some portions of the tour are on slippery uneven surfaces so practical footwear is recommended ( trainers, boots, wellies ect ).
